Hello and welcome to my kitchen resources page. I love cooking and I’m a kitchen gadget kind of girl. Here are some of my favorite kitchen gadgets, appliances, and products I find to be absolutely necessary to how I work in the kitchen.
BTW: I am a member of the Amazon Associates Program. If you click through one of my links and make a purchase, I might receive a small commission at no extra charge to you. Thank you so much for supporting my blog!
This magazine is full of helpful hints, hacks, and tricks on how to take your cooking and baking up to the next level. It is my favorite kitchen resource. My grandma was a long-time subscriber to this magazine and I just got it for my mother-in-law.
Everything is tested and backed by science. There are recipes, long articles full of information, and great explanations about how and why things work with certain recipes. I found my butter-enhancing hack used in my Caramelized Chocolate Chip Cookies from reading this magazine.
I like using a medium scoop for my cookies because I usually end up pretty close to the recipe yield and all of my cookies end up looking nice and uniform. I have used OXO products for years and like their non-slip grips. This is not exactly the same cookie scoop as what I have but it is as close of a match as I could find. Mine is older and has gray handles but the construction on this scoop is the same. There are other scoopers out there without the rubberized handles, however, if you are scooping out an entire batch and freezing them like I do, your hand will get sore quickly without that padding.
Insulated cookie sheets have been an important part of my cookie-making process for years. Ever since my mom switched from traditional cookie sheets to insulated, I also switched. There is nothing that compares to how evenly your cookies will bake on one of these.
No more burnt cookie bottoms! I am all about having a consistent product when I make cookies and these cookie sheets help so much. With the insulated cookie sheets, you can bake your cookies to be uniformly crispy if you desire because the cookie bottoms are protected from heat during longer baking times.
Some recipes just taste better when they are baked crispy. This cookie sheet will help you get whatever texture you desire in your cookies without burning them. Try my Almond-White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies on these baking sheets….totally dreamy!
Multi-Purpose Kitchen Resources
I don’t know where I would be without my KitchenAid stand mixer. These kitchen workhorses can do anything from mix up a simple batch of cookie dough to creating beautiful pasta noodles by using a simple attachment. I love how I can just turn it on and it does the muscle-work while I am preparing other ingredients and it is like having a second pair of hands in the kitchen. You can make bread with the dough hook, wisk up a bowl of sweet cream, and mix cookie dough like a dream. I have one of the most inexpensive models of this legendary mixer and find it suits my needs perfectly, although you can go really high-end with this mixer in capacity and in bells/ whistles. I also bought the silicone mixing blade and love how it mixes everything from the edges of the bowl.
If you like making different flavors of pasta, this is the attachment for you. I like using it to make noodles for my Instant Pot homemade chicken and noodle soup. You can add whatever spices you want right into the dough and it is fun to watch the noodles roll out of this fun little attachment for the KitchenAid mixer. When you craft your own pastas, it makes your noodle dishes and soups into amazing works of art!
Don’t forget to check back regularly, I keep this page updated with my latest finds and favorites. I only put things on this page I have personally tried and tested, adding in a substitute if my personal equipment is out of production.
